Scott K. Meyer
President

Mr. Meyer is the founder of STR and has been President since 1985. Mr. Meyer provides program oversight to all major STR projects, including on-the-ground strategic support and relationship management for STR.Grants’ work with the State of Louisiana Road Home program and the Louisiana Land Trust, a nonprofit formed to manage residential properties acquired by the State as part of its post-Hurricane Katrina recovery efforts. Prior to founding STR, he was with the BDM Corporation (“BDM”) where he started as a staff member in 1975, subsequently becoming a Vice President.

Mr. Meyer graduated with a B.S. in Mathematics from Carroll College in 1967, and a M.S. in Engineering from the Air Force Institute of Technology in 1969. Upon graduation from Carroll College, Mr. Meyer was commissioned through the U.S. Air Force Officer Training School and spent eight years in various Air Force staff officer assignments.

 

Dr. Robert L. Kuhnle

Dr. Kuhnle joined STR in 1999 as the Director of Training. In his current position as General Manager of the Grants Management Practice, Dr. Kuhnle is responsible for the overall strategic functional and architectural direction of eGrantsPlus® . He also plays a key technical advisor and mentoring role in all key STR client engagements. Prior to joining STR, Dr. Kuhnle was a professor at Thomas Nelson Community College where he taught software and database related courses.

Dr. Kuhnle graduated with a B.S. in Engineering from the United States Coast Guard Academy in 1963, and a dual Masters degree in Systems Management and Aerospace Mechanical Engineering from the Air Force Institute of Technology in 1973, and a Ph.D. in Philosophy, Industrial/Organizational Psychology from Old Dominion University in 1989. Upon graduation from the U.S. Coast Guard Academy, Dr. Kuhnle was commissioned as an Ensign, and spent the next 20 years performing as an officer in assignments spanning the full spectrum of Coast Guard command, staff, and operational positions.

Robert J. Fries

Mr. Fries joined STR in 2004 as General Manager for the eGrantsPlus® application software product. In 2005, he was promoted to Chief Financial Officer for STR, L.L.C. and each of the subsidiaries. Prior to joining STR, Mr. Fries was the Executive Vice President and Chief Financial and Administrative Officer for MARC Global Holdings, Inc. from 2000 to 2004, where he was responsible for the global management of all financial and administrative functions for this $26 million software product and solutions firm.

Mr. Fries graduated with a BBA in Business Administration from the University of Notre Dame , and an MBA from the University of Maryland . Prior to joining MARC Global Holdings, Mr. Fries had worked for TRW, Inc. and its predecessor company, BDM International, Inc., where he progressed through increasing levels of management responsibility from 1978 through 2000.

 

Dean A. Moore

Mr. Moore joined STR in 1998 and since 2002 was responsible for public sector sales of STR’s eGrantsPlus® product. He works closely with executives at both the Federal and State levels of government as well as channel partners and other product providers to craft solutions that meet priority grants management needs.

Since 2010 Mr. Moore has been responsible for sales and marketing of ePropertyPlus to land banks, municipal redevelopment authorities and other state and local agencies managing blighted and abandoned properties.

Mr. Moore graduated with a B.S. in Business Administration from Mobile College in 1992. Prior to joining STR, Mr. Moore was with Advantec Institute in Alexandria, VA selling advanced technical training courses to prepare students to become Microsoft and Oracle Certified Professionals.
